Hartpury Men’s Football Programme are looking for a performance analyst to join their non-league team, Hartpury University FC for the upcoming 2024-25 academic year.

The Postgraduate Studentship offers a part-funded (£3000) place on Hartpury University’s MSc Applied Performance Analysis in Sport degree whilst undertaking a year-long placement with Hartpury University FC.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine studying a postgraduate degree at
one of the top sporting universities in the UK whilst also gaining real world experience in a high performance football environment.

Studentship responsibilities will include the following:
• The placement is a minimum of 10 hours per week
• The placement will require you to start in pre-season (July) through to the end of the season (May)
• Filming and coding of both training sessions and matches, home and away
• Delivery of individual, unit and team-based analysis sessions
• Managing the creation and development of individual player/team clip library on HUDL
• Contributing to projects and reports to the Performance Analysis department
• Regular communication and engagement with FC Head Coach in ensuring the smooth running of analysis provision at the club
• Completing your postgraduate research project alongside our university strategic direction with the aim of actively contributing to our evolving postgraduate research and knowledge exchange community and impacting our applied Sports Academy provision.

Person Specification
Essential
• A 2.1 undergraduate degree in related field (although this is open to discussion based on application)
• A positive work ethics and a willingness to learn
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Trustworthy and reliable

Desirable
• Experience using performance analysis equipment such as filming football matches and confident working with technology
• Familiarity with performance analysis software
• Sound knowledge of football
• UEFA Coaching qualifications
