Academy Performance Analyst – Student Internship 2024/2025

Contract Type- Work Placement- Ideal for Undergraduate Students / Placement Year Students / Masters Students

Start Date – July 2024

End Date – May 2025

Hours- Part Time (10-20 Hours Per Week) including Evenings and Weekends

Salary – Unpaid Internship

 

Colchester United have numerous student internships across the club (PDP, FPD and YDP) available for the 2024/2025 season. These internships are available to all work internships and students. Those invited to interview may be asked to complete a small task to demonstrate their analysis skills and football understanding. The ideal candidate must:

Have a keen interest in professional sport
Enthusiastic about analysis and how it is used
Be adaptable to the work flow of professional football
Cope in high demand situations
Be able to commit to the entire 2024/2025 season.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Work in blocks and adapt to differences of analysis across new age groups
Work closely with and support academy staff within a Category 2 Academy
Film training sessions, matches and coach education events and uploading to the relevant platforms
Coding at the Lead analyst & Coaches request – key events / key players or tactical play on SBG/HUDL
Assist with delivering analysis sessions – group and individual
Maintaining statistical databases
Be available on a Saturday or Sunday to film academy matches, and flexible during the week.
