A Major Announcement from the APFA for 2026

Free

Today, whilst hosting the 3rd edition of our Jobs in Analysis event, CEO Oliver Gage revealed a number of new things coming to the APFA in February 2026. This vision has been there since the start of the Associations existence, but we now feel that we’re in a position to offer this with all the tools offered from the Association now there for people to utilise.

Public Profile Pages:

Public Profile Pages mark a major step forward for the APFA community. For the first time, all members, both free and professional (more on that later), will be able to create a public-facing profile directly through the association. Your profile will act as a central hub for who you are as an analyst, allowing you to showcase your bio, experience, ambitions, and contact details in one professional space. Designed with clubs and analysis departments in mind, these profiles make it easier for organisations to discover talent, understand individual skill sets, and connect directly with analysts at every stage of their journey. Whether you’re just starting out or already working in the industry, your APFA profile becomes a visible, credible presence that supports your progression and opens the door to new opportunities.

The Analyst Hub

Members will be able to publish football analysis directly on the APFA website through The Analyst Hub, creating a dedicated home for written analysis within the association. This space allows you to build a visible, professional portfolio of work that lives alongside your APFA profile, making it easier for others to discover you through the quality of your analysis. Rather than your writing existing in isolation on external platforms such as Substack or Medium, The Analyst Hub keeps your work and your profile fully connected in one place. This ensures that readers, whether discovering your work for the first time or returning to it later, can always learn more about who you are, your experience, and what you can offer as an analyst, all within the same professional environment.

Professional and Professional+ Memberships

We’re introducing new Professional membership tiers at a very accessible price point, designed to give analysts deeper access to the tools, resources, and visibility they need to progress. These memberships will unlock enhanced profile features, access to team and player data via The Win Factory, and a growing library of wide-angle match footage typically reserved for professional environments. Members will also gain access to exclusive content, advanced datasets, and additional resources, all brought together in one central place. The goal is simple: to remove common barriers to entry, support analysts at different stages of their development, and provide a professional ecosystem that helps turn learning into real, practical opportunity.

APFA Ambassador Program

To help address the ongoing lack of recognition and fair financial reward within football analysis, we’re launching a new APFA Ambassador Program. This initiative is designed to give members a tangible way to benefit from the value they help create within the community. Ambassadors will be able to generate unique affiliate links directly through the APFA website and earn 10% commission on courses and events purchased through them. With our current offerings, this can equate to up to £30 per course sold. It’s a simple but meaningful step towards better recognising the contribution analysts make, while creating an opportunity for members to earn money from their work immediately, despite not necessarily working at a club.

For the first time, analysts will be able to start, shape, and showcase their journey within one connected APFA ecosystem, from our new Introduction to Football Analysis course (launching in February 2026), through specialist APFA pathways, to publishing work and building a visible public profile.

More details and defined timings will follow in the coming weeks, but this marks a defining moment for the analysis community. It’s a step towards greater visibility, stronger recognition, and a future where analysts are empowered not just to learn, but to be seen, valued, and rewarded for the work they do.
