Department Overview:

The (Youth) Scouting department is responsible for identifying and recruiting the most promising talents. Working according to a shared vision, scouts use detailed profiles for every position—ranging from Ajax U8 all the way to the first team—evaluating technical skills, tactical understanding, athletic performance, and mental attributes. The department is currently in an exciting phase of growth and development.

What You’ll Do:

As a Youth Scouting Intern, you’ll support the team across various operational and strategic areas—not limited to player evaluation. You will gain broad exposure to the inner workings of scouting in a world-class football academy, including:

• Supporting planning and coordination within the scouting department
• Handling administrative tasks and conducting analytical work
• Aiding communication with domestic and international scouts and partner clubs
• Assisting in the organization of (online) meetings and scouting events
• Learning key aspects of the scouting workflow, such as:
• Developing and maintaining scouting processes
• Managing communications with stakeholders and scouts
• Contributing to strategic planning
• Offering proactive suggestions for process improvements
• Updating and maintaining the scouting database

Who You Are:

• Currently enrolled in a university-level program (HBO/WO) and eligible to complete a for-credit internship
• Strong analytical skills and football affinity
• Exceptional communication skills and intercultural awareness
• Able to work and thrive under pressure
• Fluent in multiple languages (spoken and written)
• Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends
• Proactive, responsible, and hands-on with a problem-solving mindset
