Student Placement - Mens Youth Squad Performance Analyst
The FAW Analysis Team is excited to offer the chance for a student entering their final year of a BSc or beginning a MSc in Sports Performance Analysis (or similar) to join the department in supporting one of Cymru's Mens Youth Squads.
The successful applicant will get the chance to work closely with a National Squad age group across the year, being a part of a high performing technical team to support the development of some of Wales' best young players.
Key responsibilities:
- Pre-camp opposition analysis - watching upcoming opponents and creating presentations to showcase their playing trends to coaches and players
- Travelling with the team to undertake all on-camp analysis duties including filming and reviewing training & live feedback during matches, plus post-match reviews
- Post-camp - working with the coaches to reflect thoroughly on the team's performance through the different phases, plus ensuring proper archiving and storage of all video and presentation content

- The student will get weekly mentoring with a current member of the FAW Analysis team - supporting them with processes, critical reviews of work to help them improve and general advice and guidance from the wider supporting team
- The student will get to participate in high level review meetings where they will be exposed to a wide variety of playing styles from across age groups and playing a number of different nations
- The possibility to support in other areas of the FAW Analysis team - including supporting Senior team filming duties, helping with Coach Education content creation and filming etc.
Remuneration:
- All camp days are paid
- Meals, accommodation, travel expenses, and kit are provided while on camp
