Be part of something bigger. Turn insight into an edge across recruitment.

We are the heartbeat of the city. A club with bold ambitions, clear standards and a relentless drive to get better. If you’re curious, detail‑driven and ready to influence decisions at the sharp end of recruitment, you’ll feel at home here.

This role sits at the centre of how we identify future talent. You’ll help shape evidence‑based decisions that matter — supporting Emerging Talent and First Team recruitment with insight that cuts through the noise.

About the role

As a Positional Analyst, you’ll deliver detailed video and live analysis on players in key positions across assigned markets. Your work will inform real decisions. Your detail will make a difference.

What you’ll do

Analyse prospective target players using video, data and live observation where required

Create evidence‑based clips and reports aligned to our positional profiles and recruitment framework

Identify new potential targets and ensure they move quickly through the recruitment workflow

Use industry‑standard software (including Wyscout, Hudl and Sportscode) to support clear insight

Upload and manage reports and presentations across internal digital platforms

Work flexibly to meet deadlines and the demands of the football calendar

What you’ll bring

A strong understanding of football game models, playing styles and positional profiles

Experience analysing player potential and performance, including emerging talent

High attention to detail with the ability to turn insight into clear recommendations

Confidence working independently while contributing fully to a collaborative team

Experience using industry analysis and video editing software

A growth mindset, curiosity, and the confidence to challenge constructively

Desirable

Experience working within an elite football or sports environment

Progress towards FA Talent ID qualification

The team

You’ll join a committed recruitment and analysis group working closely with coaching, performance and data colleagues. We value trust, clarity and shared standards — and we back people who take responsibility for their work.
