Renumeration: Full Bursary award towards fees for Sports Performance Analysis MSc (either on-campus or distance education) up to £10,500
Eligibility: Students must be eligible for UK tuition fees*.
*Overseas students will be considered but the Bursary is up to a maximum of £10,500

Overview:
Middlesex University in collaboration with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), are offering a funded MSc Sport Performance Analysis studentship opportunity. This studentship will provide the successful applicant with a unique opportunity to develop their sport performance analysis skills and competencies analysing elite football performances, whilst completing their MSc Sport Performance Analysis on a full-time basis. The contact time on placement will be a minimum of 3-5 days a week, with the MSc taught component requiring 1-2 days commitment. The successful candidate will be under the direction of academic experts from Middlesex University supporting ongoing research project with UEFA around profiling performances within elite football, specifically detecting changes in performance. Students will be issued with a high specification Macbook Pro with appropriate Sport Performance Analysis software and training provided as part of the opportunity.
Students should be inquisitive and willing to investigate objective sport performance data, holding the ability to use statistical methods to question subjective opinions and generate insights that aid in the analysis of performance. In addition, they should be a good communicator who can translate difficult statistical concepts into simple concrete football examples.
Students should have an undergraduate profile of minimum 2:1 in a Sports Science or Performance Analysis related discipline. Students with degrees from non-sports science related backgrounds may be considered i.e. Computer/Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or other STEM degree.
