The Purpose: Β
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Academy Analyst to join our club. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all analysis provision across the academy, whilst working to club values. The Role:Deliver an aligned performance analysis provision across a renowned academy, contributing significantly to the playersβ ADP process & having an impact on their development.
Ensure the delivery of age & stage appropriate analysis, in line with our Academy Strategy.
Build relationships & provide support to key stakeholders, both internal & external. This includes working with the Head of Performance Analysis to align & optimise working practices across the club.
Support all aspects of the academy analysis department, including pre-match, live & post-match analysis across team, unit & individuals.
Desire to deliver analysis across multiple teams as well as reviewing sessions delivered by other analysts.
Stay up to date with the latest trends & technologies in football analysis & implement best practices within the academy programme, offering CPD to staff.
Manage a team of analysts to ensure high-standards & professionalism, including training of casual members of staff. Show high levels of innovation and a drive to continually improve.
Maintain up to date & efficient archives of footage relating to both individual development & team objectives around the game model.
Travel for both domestic & international fixtures/tournaments when required.
Assist with filming, coding & analysing training when required to support ADP conversations.
The Person:
QualificationsMinimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in a sports discipline.
UEFA B Coaching License (Desirable, not essential)
CAA Drone FlyerID License Holder (Desirable, not essential)
ExperienceAt least 3 years experience of leading an analysis department & managing staff within an elite football environment.
Strong knowledge of performance analysis softwares & tools, such as Fulcrum/Angles, RT Software, Hudl, FinalCut Pro & Keynote.
Experience of working with budgets & contractual information, both internal & with external suppliers.
SkillsProven leadership skills and the ability to motivate & inspire a team of analysts.
Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Ability to work with discretion when dealing with sensitive information with a range of senior staff.
Able to work independently but also as part of a team. Important to be able to work with staff across the wider MDT, as well as having an understanding of senior positions that you must assist at times.
Strong tactical & technical understanding to assist coaches & other analysts with continuous improvements of our football analysis provision.
A willingness and ability to work flexibly in a friendly, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
Resilient, with the ability to handle adversity and challenge in a positive way.
