Academy Performance Analyst Student Placement β 2024/25 Season Full Time Bradford
Reports to: Head of Academy Analysis
Relationships: Head of Academy Analysis, All BCAFC Coaching & Development staff and Players
Hours: Full-Time β 30 hours per week
Location: Woodhouse Grove School, Apperley Bridge, Calverley, Bradford BD10 0NR Role:
The successful candidate will be either someone who is looking to complete a 1-year placement as part of a sandwich year or someone doing a relevant Masterβs degree within performance analysis looking for a full-time placement to go alongside their studies. You will be expected to support the Academy Performance Analysis department with the filming of both games & training sessions using industry specific equipment; Pre, Post & Live Analysis for both games & training; Assist with the delivery of analysis sessions; Uploading of footage to Online Sharing Platform.
With the help of BCAFC Head of Academy Performance Analysis, key tasks will include:
β’ Filming of home and away fixtures for an appointed academy age group(s)
β’ Provide staff with a concise set of clips in line with the identified tactical and technical outcomes
β’ Produce individual clips of each players involvement during games
β’ Other appropriate duties as required by BCAFC

Knowledge: Essential: β’ An understanding of the game of football Desirable: β’ An understanding of the use of performance analysis within football β’ An understanding of the coaching process Technical / Work Based Skills: Essential: β’ High level of computer competency Desirable: β’ Competent in using various analysis equipment and software β’ Competent in methods of video editing skills β’ Competent in delivery of engaging presentations and workshop style analysis sessions
General Skills and Attributes: Essential: β’ Attention to detail β’ Dedication and commitment to the role β’ Manner appropriate to working in a professional environment and with children of all ages β’ Proactive and driven to succeed Experience: Desirable: β’ Previous experience of analysis or coaching in a similar capacity
Qualifications: Desirable: β’ Degree qualified (or working towards) in either performance analysis, sport science and/or coaching β’ Relevant coaching qualification
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and willing to develop within a professional football environment. A desire to learn about the role of performance analysis within sport, particularly youth football, is essential. Required skills will include a competency with computers and an understanding of the game of football. A prior understanding, knowledge and experience of appropriate performance analysis methods and equipment within sport would also be beneficial. Although prior experience in performance analysis is desirable, this is not essential as training and mentoring will be provided within the program by the BCAFC Head of Academy Performance Analyst.
