Performance and Recruitment Assistant Analyst
1. The Department
Our Aston Villa Women's Football Team has achieved huge success since gaining promotion to the Women's Super League (WSL).
In continuing our journey and building for the future, we are focusing our efforts to ensure our Women's Team have the resources in place to help us deliver our ambitious plans for nurturing, encouraging and developing talent and striving to become a leading force in Women’s Football.
2. The Role
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Video Analyst to join our Performance and Data Analysis team to contribute and assist with certain aspects of Women’s First Team analysis requirements.
The focus of the role will be on coding training and match footage, collecting information and data, and assisting in recruitment analysis. With excellent organisational and analytic skills, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of trend analysis of performance metrics on a game-by-game basis.
You will be required to film, edit, store and review training to as well as engage across the Club to ensure that there is a smooth pathway of analysis and best practice being implemented throughout the Analysis departments across the Club.
3. The Person
The successful postholder must have at a minimum:
· BSc (Hons) in Performance Analysis / Sports Science (or related).
· High level of tactical/technical knowledge and understanding of the game.
· Proficient in the use of leading performance analysis software including: Sportscode/Angles, Coach Paint, Opta and Wyscout.
You will have extensive experience of working within a professional sports team, and in the provision of analysis of high-performance elite athletes and teams. You should have the ability to interpret data, develop and create interactive presentations/dashboards as well as the ability to deliver/provide feedback in a professional manner.
