Academy Performance Analyst (Casual)
Role Summary
West Bromwich Albion Football Club is seeking an Academy Performance Analyst (Casual) to join the Academy Analysis department. The successful candidate will support the implementation of performance analysis processes across the Academy, helping to enhance player and coach development. This role is ideal for someone organised, proactive, and passionate about football analysis, who is looking to gain valuable experience within a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery of analysis for Academy training sessions and matches.
- Provide pre-, live-, and post-match/training analysis, including filming, coding, clipping, and editing.
- Support staff and players by preparing video and data resources to inform feedback and development.
- Attend Academy fixtures, both home and away, as required.
- Ensure all analysis materials are databased, stored securely, and made accessible when required.
- Deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines in a professional football environment.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Previous experience within a performance analysis role, preferably in an Academy or elite football environment.
- Familiarity with performance analysis software such as Hudl Sportscode, Studio, or similar.
Additional Information
- This role is offered on a casual contract, with hours including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays in line with Academy fixtures and training schedules.
- The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check and additional safeguarding and reference checks.
