About this role:

 

Crystal Palace Football Club are seeking a forward thinking and proactive individual to join our open minded, progressive Academy Performance Analysis Department. The Academy Performance Analysis Department looks to maximise the skillsets of each individual staff member to enhance the content produced within each area of our delivery cycle. The Department works collaboratively with Coaching staff to provide and deliver high quality analysis content through a variety of different methods to support the Academy Technical and Tactical programme.

The Department has an excellent track record of providing a platform for the development of Performance Analysts, helping to improve individual’s skillsets. In this role you will have the opportunity to be a vital member within the Academy Analysis Department. The role will provide an opportunity to gain insight into a broad range of analysis processes. Leading the analysis processes for the U18 age group (pre, live, post, statistical, databases). 

 

Responsibilities:

Film, and capture games, training and other educational content.
Analyse player development through training/match footage and coach assessments to assist in creating individual development programmes and aiding player pathways.
Analyse opposition match footage providing insights to the relevant coaching staff and creating detailed reports to facilitate game plan creation.
Providing staff/players with video, data and material that supports the development of individual players and support the implementation of the playing style.
Continually maintain individual player development databases for use in tracking and bench marking players.
Contribute to the development and management of best practice video libraries for use in coach education.
Sharing of relevant video, data and other resources with staff, players and parents using various technology platforms
Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Essential

BSc in Performance analysis or in similar field or equivalent experience.
UEFA C Licence or Level 2 Coaching qualification and/or experience playing football
Experience of providing analysis support with an elite football club
Forward-thinking and proactive individual
Excellent Understanding of the Hudl Pro Suite (Sportscode, Hudl, Studio, iCoda). 
2 Years Experience working in an elite sporting environment.
Understanding of video editing software.
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office and Apple equivalent’s (Keynote, PowerPoint).
Highly efficient in using equipment to capture content.
Competency is using Scouting database software (Wyscout).
Available to work flexible hours, such as weekends and evenings
 

Desirable

Competency/understanding in programming languages / data science.
Competency in using Tableau & Power BI
MSc in Performance analysis or in similar field or equivalent experience.
